| i am finishing my stereo install and will be running the antenna/remote out from the head unit to my amp. i am going to tap that wire to run to the antenna lead on the car side of the harness, but i'd like the antenna to be switched. i am not clear on what kind of voltage and amperage will be traveling over to the antenna. i assume 12v, but amperage isn't clear. i am currently planning to use the following items: 22 awg hookup wire
spdt submini toggle switch both items appear to be rated at well over 12v, but the switch is rated at 3amp. perhaps 3amp is way over what'll be running through this switch, but i don't know, so i'm asking. not looking to burn the car down. trying to be extra careful. i searched the forums but couldn't find this information. thanks.
